O Gracious Light
      Phos hilaron

O gracious Light,
pure brightness of the everliving Father in heaven,
O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed!

Now as we come to the setting of the sun,
and our eyes behold the vesper light,
we sing your praises, O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

You are worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices,
O Son of God, O Giver of life,
and to be glorified through all the worlds.

Mike, This picture deserves the overworked description “awesome.” And the Evening Prayer poem is so very fitting. Lawrence

The beauty of creation and Creator just bowls us over sometimes doesn’t it! Beautiful verse and scene.

Yes, and each moment contains and reveals that beauty if I am willing to slow down, look, and listen.

      Peace,

That light in the sky shines only those who stand in it’s presence…The light of the world will embrace all of us one day…as every knee will bow and declare who is the King of Kings
